William Francis Grubb Arrested for Luring 5 year old to Store Bathroom
BOONE, N.C. — according to several news reports, the Boone police arrested a man for allegedly luring a 5-year-old girl into a department store bathroom. The above mentioned store was a Michael’s bathroom this past Saturday morning. The Boone Police Department at 828-268-6900 said it arrested a19-year-old named William Francis Grubb for the crime.

Police said the family was shopping inside Michael’s on Watauga Village Drive when they realized their daughter was missing. After looking for the child, the family finally found her inside the store.
They later figured out she had been lured into the bathroom. Grubb left the store before officers arrived, but they quickly found him nearby, according to a news release from the department.
Investigators believe there may be other victims who Grubb has tried to lure away from their parents in order to get “sexual gratification.” If you have any information, call the Boone Police Department at 828-268-6900 and ask to speak with Sgt. Osborne.
Grubb is charged with abduction of a child, indecent liberties with a minor, kidnapping and indecent exposures. All are felonies. He is being held at Watagua County Detention Center without bond.
