Sistine Chapel White Smoke

White smoke from the Sistine Chapel Chimney signals the Catholic Church has chosen a new pope on march 13, 2013 in the afternoon.

Tens of thousands of people stood in the rain and harsh weather to watch the smoke stacks.

“Habemus Papam” or “We have a Pope” can be heard over the sound of the bells of St.Peter’s Basilica and churches across Rome prayed!
