Real Chance of Love star Ahmad Givens starting Chemotherapy

The star of VH1’s “Real Chance of Love“, who was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer will begin intense chemotherapy treatments this week in order to fight off the cancer and has told local news resource’s there about it.

The symptoms were first introduced to Real (Ahmad Givens) Upon the start of the new year. Real, who is well known for staring in multiple hit reality shows originally thought he had a normal flu or virus, being that he was in a state of great health, preparing to shoot his new Reality Series due to air late 2013. After going to the doctor and having multiple test ran, Real was unfortunately diagnosed with Stage Four Colon Cancer.

A rep for Ahmad Givens, who goes by Real — tells TMZ that the reality star met with doctors Thursday at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. The docs advised him to begin oral chemotherapy which is chemo taken in the form of a pill rather than an IV bag. The entire process is likely to take at least two years.

The rep says Real is raising money to cover the staggering medical bills, claiming his insurance will only cover about 40% of the medical costs.

TMZ was told Real’s devastated by the news, but staying strong for his family. And wants to do everything in his power to get better.
