New Girl Season 7 Starts April 2018

Have you been waiting to find out if New Girl was coming back to TV? And if so where. Well spoiler alert, it is back April 2018 and here is a quick summary below. Spoilers below. So read at your own risk. Just basic plots. Just to prepare you for a great final season for the gang.

Where We Left Off: The Season 6 finale saw Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) get back together for good, ending years of will-they, won’t-they tension with a devastatingly romantic reunion after they realized they can’t live without each other. Meanwhile, Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) discovered Cece is pregnant, and Winston (Lamorne Morris) and his fiancée Aly (Nasim Pedrad) got a phone number for Winston’s father, who left his family when Winston was very small.

The Scoop: The show’s seventh and final season will follow a three-year time jump. Nick and Jess are still together, but Nick isn’t sure if he wants to get married; Winston and Aly are married and have a baby on the way, and Winston’s father is back in his life (and played by Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s J.B. Smoove); and Schmidt and Cece are raising their daughter Ruth. Max Greenfield says it’s “a real Full House situation” with Rhiannon and Danielle Rockoff, the twin girls playing Ruth. “They’re the same age as when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen really popped.” The girls are said to be sweet and funny and bring an energy to the show that it has never had before, but Greenfield admits he has no idea whether Rhiannon and Danielle will grow up to be Olsen-esque multi-millionaires, though.
