Narcotics investigators with the Mooresville and Troutman Police find A large marijuana growing operation

MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A Narcotics investigation for a large-scale marijuana growing operation last Thursday was successful.

Last Thursday, narcotics investigators with the Mooresville and Troutman Police Departments obtained a search warrant after receiving numerous tips from concerned residents.

The warrant was served at the home of 60-year-old Robert Fleak in the 1000 block of Mount Ulla Highway in Mooresville. Police say they found a large marijuana growing operation in an outbuilding on the property. Authorities say 68 plants with a street value of in excess of $100,000 were seized from the home.

As a result of the search, Fleak was charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a building for use, storage or sale of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fleak was booked in to the Iredell County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
