How to Change Safari to Internet Explorer or Another Browser
Here is the how to with pictures, to show you how to change Safari to Internet Explorer or any other browser using the User Agent tab.
You can change Safari’s User Agent. The user agent is the calling card that a browser uses when it accesses a web site. Changing the user agent means that the browser is announcing itself as something other than Safari saying it is IE for example.
However changing the user agent does not cause a browser to emulate the other browser. Safari using the IE user agent will still behave as Safari and not as Internet Explorer. You can also review the Apple Community Thread on this topic.
First open up Safari on your Mac. Choose the Safari tab and click on Preferences.
Then choose Advanced tab, and on the bottom check off “Show develop menu in menu bar.”
Then Choose the Develop tab and select User Agent. From there you will be able to choose the browser you need to mimic.

Great to know since you can’t download Internet explorer on the Mac anymore. Just old versions
